From Full-Time Mom to Full-Time Entrepreneur: My Journey
As I watched my children walk into their classrooms for the first time this school year, a mix of emotions washed over me—pride, excitement, and a tinge of nostalgia. This milestone not only marked a new chapter in their lives but also signaled the beginning of a significant transition in mine. With the kids at school, I now have the opportunity to fully immerse myself in my entrepreneurial journey.
Embracing Change
For years, my primary role has been that of a full-time mom, a job that has been both rewarding and challenging. The decision to step into the world of entrepreneurship was something I had to do for me. Balancing family life with business aspirations required careful planning, late-night brainstorming sessions, and a fair share of sacrifices.
Finding My Passion
The idea of launching my own business wasn’t born overnight. It was a gradual realization that I wanted to create something of my own, something that would not only support my family but also inspire others. My passion for beauty and helping others feel their best led me to the world of lash extensions, and thus, BK was born.
Overcoming Challenges
Starting a business is never easy, especially when juggling the responsibilities of motherhood. There were days when I questioned my decision, doubted my abilities, and felt overwhelmed by the sheer volume of tasks. However, each challenge was a learning opportunity, teaching me resilience, time management, and the importance of self-care.
The Power of Community
One of the most invaluable lessons I've learned is the power of community. Whether it's the support of fellow moms, the encouragement from friends, or the advice from seasoned entrepreneurs, I have been fortunate to have a strong support system. This community has been instrumental in my growth, offering guidance, feedback, and motivation when I needed it the most.
Balancing Act
Transitioning from full-time mom to full-time entrepreneur has required a delicate balancing act. It’s about finding harmony between business goals and family time. I’m learning to set boundaries, prioritize tasks, and delegate when necessary. This balance will allow me to be present for my children while also dedicating time and energy to my business.
Looking Ahead
As I embark on this new chapter, I am filled with optimism and excitement. The International Lash Expo, our upcoming trainings, and the various projects we have in the pipeline are just the beginning. I am committed to empowering solo artists, supporting women in business, and making a positive impact in the industry.
Final Thoughts
